Feeding you boxer puppy:

As far as boxer puppies go. At age six to eight weeks of age, you can feed him three scheduled meals a day. Establishing a schedule, along with the proper diet, is important part of house-training your boxer puppy. You can also moisten your puppy's food with water at first. This will make it easier for the puppy to eat right after being unweaned. As your puppy gets older, you can gradually reduce the water or you can continue feeding moist dry food.

Remember that when you bring your new boxer puppy home it can be stressfull on him. If you change your puppy's food when you bring hime home, or at any other time, be sure to do so gradually over a 7 to 10 day period. This will assure that he will adjust to the new food and help avoid digestive upsets. You might also start by mixing a small amout of the new food with his present food and decrease the old food until your mixure is just the new.

Even if your puppy's food is moist you should always provide fresh water. Place your boxer's food and water away from foot trafic and try to always keep the food and water bowls in the same location at all times.

Finally, it always a good idea not to startle a puppy while he eats.
