Feeding an older boxer
If your boxer is seven years of age or older, he's in his senior years. Older boxers go through physical changes like people do, his eating habits may change as he grows older. Older boxers are often less active and can be prone to gaining weight. Appoximately 25 percent of all adult boxers are overweight. Your older boxer may need a diet that's lower in calories to help him get his ideal weight and maintain that weight.
Ask you vetrinarian what food he feels is best suited to your dog's needs. If you switch your boxer's food to something different, make sure you make the switch gradually so you won't upset your older boxer's digestive system.
